Blow Away

"Blow Those Drips Away"

Tools:
Brushes, aluminum foil, foundation sponge and err.. my mouth? (read the title of the painting and you'll get what I mean.. LOL)

Done on October 8, 2009 at 1:12 AM

Inspired by one of the artworks that I saw on Artpad online. Ofcourse, my painting is totally far way different than the original. Plus, the original one is a digital painting so senang nak control in term of blending the colours and so forth. Anyway, mine at first was very plain bored. Lepas tu rasa tak puas hati sebab tengok macam dull gila, so I took a foundation sponge and then gegolek atas canvas with some shades of green. But still, urghh.. dah rasa macam nak 'bungkus' dah semua tools, haha! But then, DING DING! Suddenly, idea datang - water drips, woohoo that sounds cool to me. Akan tetapi sekali lagi hasilnya tak berapa memberansangkan *sigh*. Aku pun apa lagi, selamba main tiup-tiup. Ya, tiup ya kawan-kawan. Tiup the dripping dengan bersungguh-sungguh, OK. And taraaaaaa.. Oh well, not that impressive I know and I'm not trying to impress anyone pun. :)

So now you guys know how did I get the title of this painting kan? *giggles*

Surie-shii..as usual I love your abstract painting. Lagi satu sebab saya suka sebab you varied the usage of the material macam aluminium fuil and foundation sponge (ehh ko guna aluminium foil to untuk tiup paint tu ker?)..it's creative. May I add some suggestion? Next time, try using salt and plastik transparent yang orang guna untuk cover makanan and simpan dalam fridge tu.

You know if you put the salt/ apply the plastik( yang ko crumple) on the paint yang basah and biar dier kering, and then ko buang garam/plastik tu, you will get a brilliant effect and color teksture. Sangat sesuai kalau nak guna for abstract painting ;-)

I read this in the book, aku pun tak try lagi. Nanti sayer pun nak try.

just tabur the salt all over the painting and then wrap it up ke? hurm takpe, nanti aku search kat YouTube coz video is much easier, live demo :D

by the way psal tools tu semuanya unplanned. suddenly rasa nak capai itu ini. aluminum foil tu for err stamping effect (sorry, im not sure whts the right term in Art ;p) which aku applied kat matahari (yes, the orange one at the top tu matahari ya, haha) and debunga kuning kat bunga tu. Part tiup-tiup tu, just guna brush je untuk titis2 colour tu. Then terbalikkan painting tu secara menegak so that dia bole meleleh and some part aku tiup la.. tu yang ada effect mcm menjalar tu.. :D

Tabur the salt on the painting yang basah, and let it dry je..ko tak payah wrap.Lepas dah kering tu, ko bersihkan lah garam tu. Same ngan plastik tu, ko letak atas cat basah, and then ko crumple and biar je atas cat tu sampai cat tu kering. Lepas dah kering ko angkat lah.

:-P Painting tutorial kah ini? We should try this together you know haha
