Little, Not Much Update

A little update about stuffs that I've been doing recently.
Here we go :)

Work
"So far so good", ayat standard. Yang kelakarnya, my manager told me that my team members think that I'm a "Puteri Lilin", looks too soft they said. And he thinks the same thing as well, that I'm too fragile.. haha, dang! Definitely a motivation booster, not? LOL ;p The good thing is, my TL said I'm a fast learner, picking up things too fast. So, gambate ne!

Chillin!
Went for Skytrex "Big Thrill" last month and I must say this out loud, I SURVIVED SKYTREX CHALLENGE!!!!! I've read somewhere, "It was better to have done it now while we are still able to". So yeah, I have made it (big yeay). At first, aku ingat akan ada scene aku tak berganjak dari platform or got stucked in the middle of the trail or anything like that. Luckily, there is no such thing happen. Yela, sedangkan balkoni apartment 5 tingkat pun aku tak berani nak pijak, ni kan pulak sesi panjat memanjat pokok setinggi 14 meter? Yes, can you imagine?? Memang sangat OH EM GEE seriously noks! I just don't know how the hell on earth I managed to complete the challenge.. huhuhu, this is insane! By the way, sorry tak banyak gambar while we were up there. Gila, kaki and tangan menggigil kot! ;p




Art-ing
Gosh, messing around with "colours", I miss that.. terribly. I know I can't be the only one who doesn't have time for painting. Oh ya, I bought this book few days ago. Hopefully it can gives me some inspiration to start painting again.

The Unfinished

First attempt melukis atas dinding, still ongoing.

So, what have I learned from my first wall painting experience? First of all, melukis atas dinding lagi pressure dari melukis atas canvas, in term of saiz ruang dan perspektif. Second of all, melukis atas dinding orang lagi pressure dari melukis atas dinding bilik sendiri.

Honestly, ia tidak represent apa-apa. Just follow the polka dot concept which was done by Tri. I wish I could do something more symbolic and meaningful for Gravy Baby! but (sigh) I'm not that creative and very lack of new ideas.

p/s: my first painting is officially SOLD, Alhamdulillah.

Cold Hands and Feet

Gah! Tangan seram sejuk tak ingat, I'm so nervous right now. The result for "Fighting AIDS with Art" competition will be announced tomorrow at SACC Mall, Shah Alam. I still leading the online voting up till this afternoon, then swooosshh I'm down to 2nd place now.. LOL, too bad. If last time I didn't put so much hope (to be the Top 10) but this time, for real I really do hope that I'll be one of the Top 3, atleast. Wish me luck! Oh ya, mungkin ini sekadar benda kecil buat sesetengah pihak tapi bagi aku, it means a lot. Cukup.. :)

Bleghhhh, kupu-kupu dalam perut, tak sukaaaaa! T___T


UPDATE:

Alhamdulillah, I won "Fighting AIDS with Art" competition. Lots of people wanna hear me say this, "This is the best birthday present ever this 2010", there you go ;p Thank you so much Ikin, Qiey, Maro and Fara for being there yesterday and again, heartiest thanks to each one of you, ya kamu semua.. families and friends for voting me. Alhamdulillah, syukur yang amat sangat ke hadrat-Nya.

A few hours ago, I have been informed by Abang Fathul via Facebook that my artwork finally has been chosen as the Top 10 finalist for "Fighting AIDS with Art" campaign. Still remember THIS post? After they announced the Top 30, sumpah tak termimpi pun that I'm gonna make it to the Top 10.

What a great kick-start for this unpredictable 2010!

The Bloody Roses

I was trying to make use of the Zinc White that I've accidentally bought that day. Honestly, I totally have no idea of what I was doing, haha! Experiment yang entah apa-apa, merapu gila.. hieww! So at the end, I painted half of it black, the best way to express my frustration muahahaha, LOL! I think I will continue to re-paint it later then.

Owh ya, anyway can you actually see the thick textures? Tried to apply impasto technique but bleghhh.. really sucks! Let's try this again some other time, shall we?

Experiment (Again)

I was just trying out my brand new set of brushes, colours and painting knife that I've bought at Balai Seni Lukis last Sunday, hohoho! Shoot! Rupanya aku tersalah beli colour daaa, terbeli Zinc White instead of White colour. I didn't check the label before beli (apakah?!), nampak sangat gelojoh masa memborong hari tu T____T

Sketch Aizat "Canda di Balai Seni Lukis Negara" memang mengundang betul. Tak boleh tahan, tangan dah gatal nak sketch something. The sketch above was taken using mobile camera, so it's kind of blurry.. sorry! ;)

By the way, ada orang tanya apa meaning MENGUNDANG. Penggunaan MENGUNDANG dalam konteks yang aku selalu guna, sama macam maksud perkataan MENGUJA lah kiranya. Sesungguhnya tatabahasa yang kurang proper, LOL! Tapi perkataan mengundang tu memang wujud dalam konteks lain yang lebih appropriate, contoh ayat "Isu itu boleh mengundang kontroversi" atau "Boleh mengundang kemarahan". Sekian sahaja lesson Bahasa Melayu kita buat hari ini, sekian.
